Austria is known for Science and philosophy, Literature, Food and beverages, Sports, Cinema and theatre, but most of all it is known for its music. Austria was the birthplace of many famous composers such as Joseph Haydn, Michael Haydn, Franz Liszt, Franz Schubert, Anton Bruckner, Johann Strauss, Sr. and Johann Strauss, Jr. and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In addition to native regional traditions, the cuisine has been influenced by Hungarian, Bohemia Czech, Jewish, Italian, Balkan and French cuisine, from which both dishes and methods of food preparation have often been borrowed. The Austrian cuisine is therefore one of the most multicultural and transcultural in Europe.

Hallstatt is a tourist destination in the Upper Austrian province of Salzkammergut on the southwestern shore of Lake Hallstatter See. The Hallstatt culture was markedly developed in the Alps, spreading strong influence against the provinces of present-day eastern France, southern Germany and the countries of the Balkan Peninsula. In 2004, a wooden structure was found in a nearby salt mine, which they consider to be the oldest (mine) staircase in the world. The replica was displayed in front of the Museum. Just a hour and a half drive from Hallstatt you can visit Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle’s nest).
