Itinerary

Day 1Vienna

Arrival to Vienna airport. Meet the LDC and proceed to hotel for check-in. PM Vienna sightseeing by coach. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Vienna hotel.

Day 2Vienna – Wachau Valley – Melk Aabbey - Vienna

After breakfast, proceed to Wachau Valley. Embark the boat in Krems and take a ride on Danube river, an impressive and leisurely cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Passing Dürnstein and Spitz, stop for visiting Melk Abbey.

Melk Abbey, 11th-century vast monastery built high above the town. A visit of the monastery (with an entrance ticket) includes the Imperial Staircase, the Imperial Corridor, the abbey museum, the Marble Hall, the balcony, the library, and the abbey church (year-round), as well as the abbey park with the Baroque garden pavilion and many more accents (April to October), the Northern Bastion with the Wachau Lab and a panoramic terrace, as well as changing special exhibitions.

Embark the cruise for a return ride back to Krems.

After returning to Vienna, dinner time and proceed to hotel for overnight.

Day 3Vienna – Schönbrunn Palace – Classical Concert

After breakfast, time for Schönbrunn palace visit!

Take a short ride and enjoy the The Grand Tour, which takes you through the entire piano nobile of the palace: in addition to the private apartments of Franz Joseph and Elisabeth, the south-facing reception rooms and the State Apartments you will also get to see the rooms occupied by Maria Theresa.

Lunch. After it, free time at Mariahilfer Strasse.

Day 4Vienna - Graz - Ljubljana

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Graz for city sightseeing.

Graz tempts you – narrow alleys, monumental buildings and contemporary architecture. Enjoy a pleasant stroll through one of the most fascinating historic city centres in Europe, which, at the same time, presents a young, cheeky and innovative face.

Lunch time.

Transfer to Ljubljana. Early dinner, check in and overnight.

Day 5Ljubljana - Postojna Cave - Ljubljana City

After breakfast, visit Postojna cave, the world’s most captivating cave with magnificent cave formations and diverse fauna. Take an unforgettable ride on Postojna Cave’s underground train and experience a fascinating subterranean paradise shaped by tiny droplets over millions of years.

Lunch time.

Afternoon sightseeing of Ljubljana city; Slovenia’s capital and largest city is one of Europe’s greenest and most liveable capitals; it was the European Commission’s Green Capital of Europe in 2016. Car traffic is restricted in the centre, leaving the leafy banks of the emerald-green Ljubljanica River, which flows through the city’s heart, free for pedestrians and cyclists.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 6Ljubljana - Bled - Klagenfurt - Salzburg

After breakfast, proceed to Bled. With its bluish-green lake, picture-postcard church on an islet, a medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke as backdrops, Bled is Slovenia’s most popular resort, drawing everyone from honeymooners lured by the over-the-top romantic setting to backpackers, who come for the hiking, biking, water-sports and canyoning possibilities.

Lunch time.

Afternoon, visit Klagenfurt Minimundus, the small world on Wörthersee. Visit the Sydney Opera House, stroll beneath the Eiffel Tower, take a photo in front of the Taj Mahal, eat an ice cream next to St Peter’s Basilica or admire the Statue of Liberty – all in just a few hours!

After a short stop, proceed to Salzburg.

Dinner, check in and overnight.

Day 7Salzburg - Hallstatt - Salzburg

After breakfast, visit Hallstatt, the breathtaking landscape of the Salzkammergut region. On the way you pass Lake Fuschl and the towns Fuschl, St. Gilgen and Strobl.

Once you are in Hallstatt enjoy the unique atmosphere of the world-famous town and the most beautiful Hallstatt sights during your short stay. Take a leisurely walk along the lake and admire the houses on the slopes of the mountains.

Lunch time.

In the afternoon, optional tour: “Sound of Music” or free at leisure to explore more about Salzburg city.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 8Salzburg - Vienna Airport

After breakfast, transfer to Vienna to reach the VIE Intl. Airport for return flight.
